Cutting ICT-related Costs and Carbon in Scottish Universities and Colleges: Lisa Nelson Masterclass

Monday 22nd June 2009
Edinburgh venue - Heriot-Watt

This free ‘masterclass' forms part of a Scottish Funding Council-supported project which is being managed by EAUC Scotland.  It is aimed at further and higher education institutions which want to take cost-effective action to reduce their ICT-related energy consumption and environmental footprint, but need hands on assistance in its implementation.

The session features Lisa Nelson, the sector's leading expert on computer powerdown. As well as developing her own free software, Lisa has also worked with developers of commercial powerdown programmes and can therefore provide insights into all approaches, as well as giving expert assistance to those wishing to use her own solution. There will be a limited number of attendees to provide scope for detailed discussion.
