Sustainable IT in Tertiary Education
Cutting ICT-related Costs and Carbon in Scottish Universities and Colleges: Chris Cartledge Masterclass
Monday 15th June 2009Edinburgh's Telford College
This free ‘masterclass' forms part of a Scottish Funding Council-supported project which is being managed by EAUC Scotland. It is aimed at further and higher education institutions which want to take cost-effective action to reduce their ICT-related energy consumption and environmental footprint, but need hands on assistance in its implementation.
The session features Chris Cartledge, one of the pioneers of green IT within the sector, and will draw on Chris's practical experience in low power devices, powerdown, print management, and data centre power supply and cooling. There will be a limited number of attendees to provide scope for detailed discussion.
